Youth Employment Programs
Services to youth ages 14 to 21 years old include:
Tuition Assistance: Financial assistance to help with the cost of tuition, books, and other fees related to post-secondary training in a demand occupation.
Supportive Services: Financial assistance for other costs related to post-secondary vocational training, which might include transportation, child care, special uniforms and/or tools.
Year Round and Summer Work Experience: Paid placement at a local business from two weeks to three months to give the participant exposure to employment and work experience in a trade or career.

Under WIA income guidelines, certain types of income such as UIB, public assistance benefits, SSI, child support, and social security survivor benefits are not counted in determining the household’s income.
